Honfleur
After two days at sea, lovely as they were, it's always good to arrive in a new port that you haven't been to.
Originally we had booked a nine and a half hour trip to the D-Day landing beaches, but after seeing the weather forecast and hearing from people who had been to Honfleur before, we cancelled it and decided to stay local. And what a good decision it was :)
We had a great walk around the town, the park, the harbour, down to the beach and even had a visit to the butterfly house which was super.
We decided on lunch at a creperie down one of the little lanes - ham cheese and mushroom galette for me - delicious!
An ice cream to cool down late afternoon on the way back to the ship and our day in Honfleur was complete - now to watch the captain turn the ship around in the really strong current of the river.....he did a great job!
