High School Graduation
The local tradition is to decorate the top of your mortarboard, and the granddaughter went for bling--a sequined tribute to the hometown. Her brother is behind her, holding a little cousin who looks remarkably like her father (my son) at that age, right down to the BatCape. It was a whirlwind celebration of blended family that we tried to keep track of by drawing the family tree on a restaurant placemat, but there just wasn't enough room--we would need an entire tablecloth to show all the links and begats.
One extra is a sculpture by the Sand Guy, honoring the class of 2016. The other shot illustrates another tradition--The Throwing of the Caps.
