Awash With Poppies

I was out this afternoon, visiting an elderly aunt on her birthday and then on to see my son and his family. And got an unexpected dinner with them, too - lovely!

On the way home, I did a short detour to investigate a poppy field that I'd heard about - not really with a view to photographing them today, more to find out exactly where they were for when I can find a bit more time to do so. What a sight! Great swathes of redness! I shall be going back when the light is better, so you can expect some more poppy photos.....
