Dog's Life

Sometimes it's not easy being a dog. Like today. I'm stuck under this restaurant's patio table watching the world go by while my owners eat, drink and make merry. Me? I'm not merry, I'm glum. All I've got is a bowl of lukewarm water. And I'm starving. Wonder if that guy over there's got any nibbles in his camera bag for a hungry hound? Perhaps if I smile, he'll take pity. Hey, Mr Photographer, look at me. I'm about to smile. No, don't run away, I'm not baring my fangs. Oh, to hell with it . . . I'll eat later . . . .
