Olympics 2012
We had a great day today at Hampden Park for the group games of the men's football.
Everything went very smoothly , parked in our usual spot and headed down to the park where the crowds weren't too great as we were there about 2 hours before the game. The stewards were very cheerful and welcoming, police very helpful and the on street entertainment great fun. Security didn't take all that long and they were very efficient but also very pleasant and helpful.
A treat for everyone , the first game Morocco v Honduras was a cracking end to end game with really good football and was acually the better of the two games this afternoon. The Spain V Japan game had some really good football from both teams although Japan was the stronger of the two teams. Definitely not a red card situation , but that's football . Fortunes can change in the blink of an eye.
Tonight's upload is a shot of the stadium withblue skies overhead, Japan and Spain on the pitch preparing for the match. best I could get from our seats in the terracing with my 18 -55 lens, ) didn't risk taking a bigger lens in case I couldn't take it in.)
Hope Saturday's cup game for Dumbarton v Queen of the South gets the result we would like to see.
