Silver Studded Blue

The Silver Studded Blues have just begun to hatch on Fairmile Common near Chobham. It's a tiny colony that maintains a fragile foothold on a small chunk of heathland next to the busy A3. I saw only three but this one was prepared to pose seeing as it was for Blipfoto.

As usual the colour is washed out on this site, unlike the actual image. The blue really is blue and the orange really is orange.
