Caffe Fiori
The visit to Split and the cruise were great, but it is a relief not to be living out of a suitcase. Instead I pulled all my dirty clothes out of the suitcase into a heap in the bedroom. We have done our first laundries, but there are several more to go.
Tuesday is not only laundry day, but in Lenno it is also market day. After a leisurely start to the morning (apart from the washing machine) we stroll down to the market. The main purchases were fruit and a rosemary and basle plant. We stayed down at the lakeside for lunch. On the way back to the apartment we stopped off at the Caffe Fiori. Here I took a couple of photographs in the courtyard of the café.
Caffe Fiori is run by the daughters of the family that own the market garden close to the apartment. The café has a plant and flower shop annex at the back of the café. The café itself is very attractively decorated inside as well as outside.
In the morning it has been hot and sunny but the weather forecast suggested thunder storms in the afternoon. These arrived very punctually at 4pm, the thunder storm lasted about an hour, but it rained for most of the rest of the evening. Accordingly the last laundry of the day had to be hung up inside.
