Colour in the Rockery

Another beautiful day and almost too hot to work in the garden ! Mrs AMK had gone off to Edinburgh to meet a friend so I set to tidying up the front garden most of which is a rockery formed from stones brought from the family farm.

Just in the last week many of the alpines have burst into flower and it is looking very colourful but I got the hose out as everything was becoming very dry. Needless to say just as Mrs AMK returned the sky went black, there was thunder and a torrential downpour which only lasted a few minutes but it didn't make much impact on the dry ground.
