A farewell Rose!

When we left France in 2010 after living there for 7 years, our very dear friends gave us this beautiful rose as a leaving present. I am not sure what variety it is (any help appreciated) but it has a lovely sweet scent. It has bloomed every year and continues to give us pleasure.

Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses.
