The water feature cleared and sorted

While I spent a further couple of hours at the allotment, Susan was busy in the garden at home clearing out the water feature in the corner. This involved taking out all the rocks, trimming back all the plants and removing the sludge from around the pump. Once refilled with water, after one or two attempts, we managed to get the pump to work as you can see. Now we can hear the tinkling of running water in the garden once again.

Apart from the allotment the afternoon was spend in school doing an appraisal mid term review, which went OK, but seemed such a shame on a lovely day. Making up for all the poor weather last week.

Before supper we walked around Bearsted, Mallards Lake and Mote Park in what was an almost perfect summer evening; sunny, clear atmosphere and just the right amount of warmth.
