Camouflage

So, of course I did not have my zoom lens with me, and I could have cropped this, but I think it illustrates how well this heron blends in to the background.  This clearly helps this bird to survive and it is quite a spectacle to watch it alternately waiting and stalking.  When I came out of the supermarket this afternoon the car thermometer had a reading of 28c.  Wow!
