Kat Doing a Great Job Smoothing

Kat and George arrived at 6 pm as promised and Kat set too almost immediately to ice her gluten free wedding cake.

I'd set up the Lazy Susan with the cake on board, although we did have to shift it off first in order to move it on to a cake platform. This gave us an opportunity to graze on crumbs. It's well moist and tastes delicious.

Kat rolled out the fondant icing and between us, we lifted it on to the cake.

As you can see, Kat was concentrating very hard to even out any wrinkles and to ensure the cake was level.

Roll on tasting day!

I'd taken Basil to Nanpantan Reservoir earlier in the afternoon. The grebes have eggs, as I saw the male sitting on the nest. A brood of mandarin ducklings were scooting about and at least two mandarin adult females were posing nicely.
