Split Apple Rock, Able Tasman National Park

Late this morning we went for a drive to Marahau in the Able Tasman Nataional Park. On the way we stopped in at Split Apple Rock and went for a 15 minute walk down to the beach, and this is what we saw - golden sand, clear water, a bolder split in half set against a gorgeous background looking back towards the Nelson area. It was a perfect winters day, with no wind and with the only clouds in the sky being way in the distance.

This afternoon the boys went mountain bike riding, while I sat at the beach at Kaiteriteri reading a book. A lovely relaxing way to spend the afternoon.
