Today is the first day of the West End Festival in Glasgow, running until 26th June.  www.westendfestival.co.uk
One of the first events was 'The Quirky West End', a guided walk around 'one of the most fascinating inner city areas in the UK'. So Mrs Lomond & I spent a delightful 2 hours this evening discovering some areas we were unfamiliar with, and seeing some lovely buildings.

Main photo is the view down Gardner Street; the river (and Riverside Museum) is now obscured by the massive new student accommodation complex that is under construction. You may recognise this street from the opening titles of the TV show Taggart.
