UP THE JUNCTION

Drat . . . this is a view from BARNETBY STATION in N Lincolnshire. A grand and huge railway junction ideal for the photographer, it will host Flying Scotsman a week on Saturday as it travels to Morpeth in Northumberland.
Sadly I am too late . . . as the mono extra shows. All of the semaphore signals have been axed in favour of electrical ones . . . and I wonder how long this Barnetby East Signalbox will remain . . . and they call it progress !
