Tropical Storm Bonnie

She dumped 2" of rain on us overnight. The 20-year-old Vango tent held up except for some minor leaks. But we did get soaked packing it all away, despite having pre-packed the night before. Another outstanding breakfast (almost everything we ate this weekend we ate out, thanks to the fact that the rain mostly fell at meal times), and then a long drive home on the most pleasant of byroads and backroads to avoid the apocalyptic traffic on the highways.

The map on my phone on the dashboard gives you a sense of what the Outer Banks are like. Spectacular. We'll be back.
