Just a fine day!
Glorious. Summer has arrived and my walk this morning was heavenly. Butterflies were flitting about, mostly ringlets, and I could hear a constant buzz of excitement from the insects dashing around to savour any nectar remaining after all the rain. The hills were truly majestic and it was so good to see them again. I walked for quite a long time simply savouring the moment and not wanting it to end - the dogs were totally in agreement - as I took many a shot of the hills from different angles.
I hope you like this one with the pinky shimmering grasses holding court in the foreground and Ben Vorlich standing splendidly proud among its neighbouring hills.
Back home I spent a good couple of hours in the garden, although it seemed longer, as I wrestled in the summer's heat to dig out huge roots of well established elders growing where I don't wish them to be! I managed to completely fill one large wheelie bin in one afternoon and hopefully burned off some calories in the process.
It is a later blip tonight as I had hoped to see a sunset. But it was not to be.
