Yesterday The Flying Scotsman came through Reading. Although I'm not particularly interested in steam trains I did think it would make a good blip. We arrived 10 mins before it was due but was told it was running about 1/2 an hour late so decided to pop into the supermarket next to the station. For one reason or another we were held up and just as we started to make our way back to the platform we heard - but couldn't see - it chugg out of the station:((

Today we went to a scarecrow trail in the village of Sonning and one of the first 'exhibits' we saw was this. It must be fate!
