Portsmouth from Ryde

A last minute suggestion from Running Backwards for us to do the coastal path walk around the Isle of Wight and we are on our first night in Ryde waiting to see what we've got ourselves into. 

My blip show a couple on the beach which at low tide appears to stretch to Portsmouth in the distance...but doesn't!
