Marvellous meadows...

...on our weekend walk with Sue & Mike today! As it is Bank Holiday, we decided on a wander out from home rather than a trip in the car.
We took the path round the reservoir, past one of the farms and down a green lane, over the main road at High Flatts and across the fields to Upper Denby - heard curlews, peewits and larks, but didn't see them. Still some bluebells out towards Gunthwaite, and the derelict MGs are still rotting gently at the old garage in Ingbirchworth. The only black mark on the day was that the ice cream shop was shut by the time we returned...
Lovely meal together afterwards - wine was consumed -  and then we looked at S&M's pictures of their trip to South America earlier in the year.
Today's blip is towards the church in Upper Denby, with the village cricket pitch beyond the meadow - no match today though ( and aren't England doing well?).
