ribbon of snow

It's snowing again, quite late for the season (the last months temperatures were quite high). Today spring starts, calendar says. Snow doesn't care and forms a crumpled ribbon while gliding off this polished pylon. A fast shot and poor quality photograph, but I don't want to spend more time outside than I have to.

On this photo, the dilemma with the compact camera can be seen: it really needs some light. As soon as the sky is disguised, contrast sinks and photographs look somehow dull.
