The Golden Island

The Golden Island is located in the Nile at Cairo. It can only be accessed by boat and produces a lot of fruit and veg for the city. It's also the apple of many real estate investors' eyes.

We are on our way to the area of Cairo called Maadi which is popular with the ex-pat community. There is a coaching networking meeting there tonight which I'll attend from 6 - 9pm so we came over early for lunch.
