High snow added an extra charm to the alpine village of Hanmer Springs, South Island NZ
We woke to rain and greyness, but this disappeared and we enjoyed our last few hours before leaving for home walking in warm sunshine. The Lewis Pass was wet and for many miles fog and mist swirled around the tops of the hills.

The extra photos
1:  Cattle who came to investigate as we were photographing the scenery between Hanmer and the Lewis Pass
2: Fungi that looks like an egg
3: Fog and wet grass
4: Maruia Falls near Murchison

Thank you for the comments and stars for yesterday’s Street Art on the wall of an office building in Christchurch. The overgrown waste land next to this existing building which is seen in the photo is where a previous building, like so many buildings around the city has been demolished because of earthquake damage.
