Just a man and his will to survive
Philadelphia PA.
So last night, we arrived at the Wee Blue Hoose. The home of my Cousin in New Jersey.
J is the son of my Dad's first Cousin. My Dad and C both now gone from this world. But a connection once formed, stays its course.
Boy has been to visit with J whilst he has been over here, but we've never made it over, and J has never made it back.
We rectified this today. - A lazy morning, coffee on the deck, whilst Blue the Australian Hunting Dog caught and massacred a squirrel; whilst kittens were born under the deck, and then were moved on when the Groundhogs came back ( I SAW A GROUND HOG).
We then had the pleasure of a Jimmy Window's drive into Philadelphia, across the River and into another state. (it's only 20 minutes)... We decided to do culture... (well in reality we wanted to do Rocky and the statue is in front of the museum).
We spend nearly 3 hours in the museum marveling at the exhibits. Did you know that Vincent painted 4 variations on the Sunflowers, and then did reproductions of each of them ? I found that out today. Then we went out to find Rocky and he wasn't where we expected so we walked down the Rocky Stairs..... still couldn't see it, walked back up the Rocky Stairs ( and I mean WALKED REALLY SLOWLY in the 90 degree heat) and went back into the Museum and asked them where Ro
cky was - AT THE BOTTOM of the Stairs, so we went out again walked all the way down the stairs found Rocky and the Boys just couldn't behave themselves.
We got stuck in major traffic on the way home, and now we are only just in from Dinner, were we had the pleasure of meeting three more of the Clan. S, J, and J, ate delish Italian, chatted loads, laughed loads, and now amma ready for bed.
