Made It!

We took the ferry to Rousay today and hired bicycles to see a bit of the island. It was sheltered along the south side coast road and the sun finally appeared. The road was hilly enough and I confess to getting off and walking a few times, freespiral is going full speed ahead here!
So today we saw lots of seabirds, seals, a two story and a single story burial cairn. Farmsteads deserted in the 1840's, Midhowe another Iron Age Brough to name a few things and some very beautiful coastal scenery.
Oh and if that wasn't enough excitement we walked out of a cafe back in Kirwall to hear a pipe band having their evening practice fabulous!
