Pals on a cold and dreich day

I was hoping to leave school straight away but these guys had different ideas. Despite it being only 7 deg and dreichy, they still wanted to hang out on the trim track til the big kids came out. I caught them all doing the same thing and quickly got my phone out for my blip. I was glad we'd waited as just after we left with C it started pouring down. He would have been soaked by the time he got home if he'd walked.
Luckily I'd put on an extra jumper and an insulated jacket - so was just a bit cold and damp. Ds pal came back for a play and it was very loud. They thought saying "the bum is dead" as hysterically funny... and couldn't see why when they were shouting it out at the top of their voices I was asking them to be quieter. Sometimes I wonder if all children are this noisy and if not how come?
