a gannet or two

a bird safari off the island of Honningsvag - one of the Lofoten Islands. There were puffins, razorbills, guillemots, shags, cormorants and fish eagles. The 5 or 6 eagles were circling above the nests of the other birds. 

We were in a small boat bobbing about on the water so I didn't get too many clear shots. But watching the eagles through binoculars was amazing. 

The boat guide said to notice the use the gannets had made of old fishing gear for their nests.
