Diary of an Edinburgher

More weather

Another cold dreich day while the rest of the country basks in sunshine. This is getting tedious. And it certainly doesn't make me want to get up from the sofa and rush out for some fresh air. Though it's ideal for watching endless hours of tennis. Archie doesn't mind - he just hangs out, dozing, playing, dozing again until something looks like happening.

JR is not well. She is flat out in bed. Of course, she should not have gone to school yesterday, but my timely advice fell on deaf ears.

This was the only photo I took today while on our morning walk. Most of the front gardens are really nice, facing all day sun. We've been past the four French Bulldogs' house many times since we first met them, but they are never there. Perhaps they'll be at the Street Party at the weekend.

I was to have met up with some ex-colleagues in town this afternoon, and the thought of having to go out loomed large all day. But as I got ready to take Archie out first, I suddenly realised that I could actually postpone it till next week. Bingo! More tennis instead of drizzle and chilly wind to contend with. Though I wouldn't bet on it not being the same weather next week. Even though it'll be JUNE! *sigh*
