Diary of an Edinburgher

Mrs Blobby...

I am turning into a even more of a blob.

Archie went off for the day with Julie, whom he hasn't seen for a while due to exams (hers) and so I could slummock around and do nothing again. Well, I could have done a number of things...

- Go to the gym and not waste my monthly subscription entirely,
- Paint the door frame and the bedroom window to match the sparkling newly painted bay window,
- Or even go and do something cultural in town...

But no. I made the discovery that the new broadband speed I've been upgraded to (for less money) now means that I can watch Walter Presents World Cinema programmes on the TV. Up till now, they've only played properly on the iPad, there is too much buffering on the TV. And so this has opened up a whole host of reasons to sit on the sofa for prolonged periods.

JR, although full of the cold, went to school today. But she was excused 'Sports Day', where she would have had to stand for hours counting how many times each team could throw a bean bag into a hoop as they moved around a dozen or so similar 'sports'. And, to add to the 'fun', invariably the weather is freezing! The ONE warm 'Sports Day' I did have stands out in my memory as being almost bearable.

Oh, how I love being retired.
