Champagne stained glass
After 36 hours of rain we headed out. Decided to drive (despite the fuel crisis in France at the moment) to Reims mainly to see the Cathedral.
Massive impressive building currently being renovated. But the revelation was the stained glass. This blip is of part of three windows dedicated to the champagne industry, given where Reims is located perhaps not a surprise, but in the cathedral that has wit ensued the coronation of many French kings?
As dramatic, are some of the new windows replacing those damaged in previous wars. Some by Chagal; others by a German artist - Imi Kneobel- the most recent just last year. - see extra. Vibrant dramatic colour and design. Loved them.
