Lindley Clock Tower
Lindley is a suburb of Huddersfield in the U.K., and is situated approximately 2 miles northwest of the town centre, the name for Lindley comes from the Saxon for flax meadow. This Art Nouveau clock tower was designed by the Manchester architect Edgar Wood in 1900 and erected by James Nield Sykes in 1902. Sykes was a local mill owner and it was said he built the tower in order to ensure his employees got to work on time.
The tower features four buttress figures, four gargoyles and four friezes, and is my entry for the MM challenge - thank you to Nickimags888 for hosting.
