Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder

Oh goodness me the enticement of 20% off beauty products at M&S today was too much for this Lady, she who has eschewed make up for most of her life for no other reason than it takes too much time and self pampering to look like a different person.

I have been known to wear a little mascara, but the last time I did that I got an eye infection, and as for lipstick, well it helps if you have lips that are generous. I have not.
Nevertheless this morning I bought a lipstick, just because I had that magic token for a discount. I will paint on Cupid lips and become unrecognisable to myself in the mirror.

Having gone that far, I might try eyebrows next. Having always been blonde enough never to have had visible ones, I once several years ago had them dyed and frightened myself so much it was a relief when the sun of a Muscat holiday bleached them within days.

The sun was out in force today and Princes Street Gardens were looking stunning as we passed on the shopping foray. It was even warm enough to feel too hot in a jacket. I bet Barra is basking in the sun this week!
