Up and out early on the bike today First stop Chiropractor, then off up to Richmond to to see the torch. Arrived early to scout a good spot out of the sun, it was late coming so we waited well over an hour. When it did the police let us move onto the road and there was a lot of jostling for places. Why do people turn up at the last minute and seem to bag a place right in the front row?

Anyhow, whilst I kept a front row spot, my view was obscured by the policeman and whn the torch finally arrived (after loads of shameless advertising by corporates) she shot past behind the policeman and one of the torch security! 2 shots, one blurred and one of her back!

Afterwards I had a blissful coffee by the river, watching them re-fit Gloriana the Royal Barge ready for the final Torch leg from Hampton Court to the Stadium on Friday.
