Picnic
I had a picnic breakfast today, in the park which runs through the city centre. Black coffee & 2 croissants in the sun - what could be better.
Properly fortified, I headed for the central market looking for Russian caviar. Well, I found it. At €50 for a jar containing 2 teaspoons, I left it where it was.
The market was worth seeing. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built in the 1930s from four (or maybe five) second hand Zeppelin hangars.
So, the Blip is the Laima clock - another landmark. Laima is a Latvian chocolate maker dating back to the 1870s.
Extras - folk comparing hangovers in the park, and a deal done at the fish market.
