An action packed day.
Supermarket and then having made a packed lunch, we went to Spartans and swimming in the sun before heading to see the folks. Youngest brother was down for latest Aberfeldy treatment so I figured it was a good chance to see him. Forecast was rubbish but apart from one 5 minute shower, we drove up in sunshine.
And so it remained (bar one more 5 minute shower). We mowed lawns and kicked footballs and ate biscuits and drank tea. Chris also appeared (also on motorbike) mid afternoon so the folks had 3 of the 4 boys at home that afternoon. I assume we're all aware the childhood home is on the way out and we're making sure we get a last look around before its sold...
Eventually had a cuppa; and watched from Halliday's stunner to Gray's last minute winner. Incredible stuff; 'mon, the Cabbage!.
We drove home with smiles; listening to the other final; and when we got in ate Spanish bean stew off our laps as we were underwhelmed after events at Hampden.
Everyone asleep by 9.30 although thankfully she rang after Annie and woke me to watch the highlights again.
Youngest brother and Paw discussing what to do with the bird table when they finally have to move
