Planes, trains and automobiles

Or, in my case, automobiles, planes and buses :-)

I have arrived in Venice, and miraculously found my hotel (note to hotel - better directions on your website please!). It is cloudy but very warm, so I've just had a stroll this afternoon, ending up (by accident rather than by design) at the Rialto Bridge. Meh.

Venice is all glass, masks and canals. Today (in my head) I bought enough Murano glass to fill a display case and more handbags than I could ever use. Those masks creep me out though. No plans for tonight, just me, my hotel room, a good book or three and a cuppa. Might nip to the hotel cafe for a cheeky something later once I've cooled down!
