Tourist day.
S was working so I had the day to myself to explore some of London. First stop had to be Camden. I sauntered through the quiet early morning street, browsed the markets and politely turned down lots of deals people tried to offer me. I was looking for a specific stall, Cookies & Scream! A vegan bakery selling the most amazing of things. There was far too much choice but I settled for a coffee milkshake and warm chocolate brownie. Couldn't have asked for a better breakfast! After a while more browsing the markets I headed to Spittalfield Market in search of lunch (and so had half of London!). I was sad to find my favourite little teashop had closed but I managed to find a stall selling wool jumpers, perfect for the coming holiday.
I was tired and grumpy and distinctly lacking in tea so I decided to hop on the tube to Chelsea. I'd seen adverts for a Jewellery show and it would be worth the few quid to leave the crowds behind. I fuelled up on tea in a little cafe before wandering the stalls, trying on some spectacular items and yearned for the days that my trips to London included a visit to IJL.
It was then soon time to head back to Cricklewood, picking up wine on the way. We had a quiet night in with wine and curry and some telly.
