Healthy minds in healthy bodies
One of the great rediscoveries of recent years in mental health circles is that physical health is a big factor in promoting emotional wellbeing. Every year our local mental health trust gets people to do a five kilometre group walk to highlight the value of just being active, not only to keep you fit but also to keep you positive.
So TSM and I joined a lot of other people on a dull Saturday morning and did the whole two laps in the beautiful grounds of Painshill Park, which is an amazing landscape garden with dozens of follies just off the A3. Good to see old work colleagues from years past and feel part of a happy group.
Had my hair cut and bought some new trainers later. Must have been feeling motivated by it all ....
