Attention

A rude awakening at a quarter to four this morning with a burst from the smoke alarm for absolutely no reason. Luckily it didn't wake Bailey and I went back to sleep fairly quickly once my heart had stopped hammering. 

Up properly a while later and into work to finish what has felt like a really long 4 day week. Not too much teaching required plus a tour for prospective students and parents. We've toured 237 people this week so let's hope a proportion of them decide to join us in September 2017. 

Too much chat at the end of the day again to be out particularly early but I got home via the supermarket earlier than any other day this week. The sky was looking a bit threatening so I walked Bailey straight away after his tea and before mine. He's spent quite a bit of time in the garden again tonight but did at least deign to sit next to me on the sofa for a little while. Even if his attention was mainly caught by the plastic bottle in my hand that he wanted to chase around the floor.
