Canada Warbler
Guided by our friends Arn and Henry from our bird club, we spent a wonderful morning in the expansive Wendell State Forest (north of the Quabbin Reservoir. It was our best day of birding--and especially photography--yet this spring. This male Canada Warbler is uncommon--the only one we saw. I'll add extras of a Broad-winged Hawk (briefly straight overhead, similar to Red-tails), and a Winter Wren (Troglodytes troglodytes--which happens to be the same species as Europe's only Wren.)
Next day Edit: The blur across the bird's chest is due to an intervening branch, which I've darkened a bit to attenuate.
