canal dreams

last day of the book group trip to Brecon today, with only 3 stalwarts left. We walked along the canal almost into Brecon. There were lots of canoes and narrowboats on the water and walkers and cyclists on the tow path. The owner of the house we stayed in is renovating a narrowboat for extra accommodation, and I wondered if this is someone's project in waiting.
It was great to see people out enjoying themselves now the sun has begun to shine.
We spent the afternoon in Hay, having another browse in the bookshops and other retail outlets. It was a beautiful drive home along the Golden Valley - but we didn't really want to go!
