Show Off

The Red-shouldered Hawk chicks are finding it a bit cramped in their nest these days. Spending much more time on top of it. Lot's of wing flapping exercising going on. The smaller chick seems to be a lot more aggressive of late. Tugs of war with her larger sibling quite often go in her favor! This morning I heard her calling, mimicking her parents' calls, not quite as robust a sound, of course, but I could tell what it was. Any day now I expect to see the chicks hopping around in their tree! They are growing so quickly!
