'Leaping Iris'

Someone gifted me with this Iris. I have no clue as to the name or history of it. I would call it 'Leaping Iris' if I were to name it because it has leapt all over my yard. I'm not complaining, mind you! It's pretty, cold tolerant and easy to  pull up...if necessary. The 'extra photo' today is of one petal of the
'Leaping Iris'. I spent my morning at our Master Gardeners' Annual Plant Sale. I found 44 new 'green friends' to bring home with me, 40 of them are Florida Natives! :) Guess that gives you a clue as to what I'll be doing for the next couple of days...now where's that shovel?
