Thermal hot stones and Sudoku
So the in-laws did the night shift in The Lakes last night, waking up to feed Audrey at 1am and 5am. The idea was to kindly give my husband and I a good night's sleep. The first in six weeks. It worked a treat for my husband as he sparked out on the sofa bed in the lounge of the lodge we were staying in.
However it seems my body is now programmed to wake every three hours regardless. But it was still lovely. I didn't hear her cry once and even though I did wake, I was able to go back to sleep pretty quickly - safe in the knowledge she was only downstairs. Apparently they're doing it again tonight. This is bloody marvellous.
The country is basking in sunshine today apparently. We wouldn't know though as there's isolated low pressure over Scotland and The Lakes and its chucked it down all day. Hasn't mattered really. I went to the spa (see pic) earlier for a thermal hot stone massage and pedicure which felt amazing. Otherwise, we've just hung out at the lodge, reading, doing Sudoku, chatting and passing Audrey round.
She seems to be going through a 6 week growth/developmental spurt. Our kid hasn't stopped eating today, her head has got stronger and she's focusing on us a lot more clearly. The Lakes air obviously agrees with her.
