Time to go home.......

We had to be up early this morning to catch our flight back to Scotland.  This is the view from our balcony this morning at 6 am.  There had been heavy rain overnight, and I mean heavy, and you can see the terrace below is quite wet.  However, it looked like shaping up to a fine day.  There is a big cruise liner going up to berth in Dubrovnik, almost there.  I am told that in the summer as many as ten cruise liners can be in Dubrovnik at any given time.  That's a lot of people.

We have had a wonderful holiday, and I tried to share it as best I could.  I find it harder to upload with my tablet, but did manage each day, and thank you for your comments, stars and hearts.

Our holiday was our walking club yearly holiday and we combine walking with some sightseeing.  We all enjoy each other's company, and our club holiday is one of our yearly highlights.

In March the HG and Kris, our leader, went out to Dubrovnik and did a recce of the area and made up a programme of walks and sightseeing tours, and it really paid off, as each day was such an adventure.

The hotel was excellent, modern with very good ensuites, important to me.  Each evening there was some form of entertainment, and usually ended up with us all on the floor dancing.  Some of our club are realy extrovents.

Home now, first washing on, have had a fish supper for dinner, a bit of a comedown after the lovely food we have been eating all week, but we can't be bothered to go out to shop for food.
