Grass Tree..after fire

This burnt out base of a Grass Tree( Black Boy in earlier times) is now starting to break down and the base splitting into the many sections that form the base.

These sections are very oily and good for starting a fire if ever you need a fire starter, they also act as a combustion agent if a fire goes through the bushland as it it did in Bold Park in Perth earlier this year.

The blips below are earlier photos taken just after the fire and part of a running collection of photos I am keeping as the bushland regenerates.
