Hopton Castle

Lovely day visiting Hopton Castle, in Shropshire, followed by  the little town of  Clun and its castle.  We enjoyed a really tasty pic-nic sitting on a bench a few feet from where I took this photo. The only sound was the birds, and the sheep munching (or was that us munching?). 
There has been a lot of conservation work undertaken here over the last few years, and also a lot of research done by archaeologists, historians, and even Time Team was here a few years ago. 
Still no Wi-Fi................
