Cascading Gold
A wonderful day out with my Wednesday friends, despite largely dull and drizzly weather! We visited Garston Wood on the recommendation of another friend. What a lovely experience that was! The woods were carpeted in blue and white! Admittedly, the bluebells were passed their best but they still provided a beautiful blue contrast to the white of the wild garlic that dominated - I've never seen so much wild garlic in one place and the perfume was very heady! Fortunately, I love garlic!
Then on to a nearby village where we discovered the most delightful tiny tearoom, serving delicious paninis and cakes! It also sold a delightful selection of cards and things that creative people had made! Madchickenwoman, you would love it! We were the only ones there but we wiled away a very contented hour or two, chatting and munching!
Homeward through the beautiful countryside, there were many swathes of gold stretching into the distance..... I thought this image looked like a river cascading down over the hillside and out of sight!
Many thanks, everyone, for everything!
