Latest news from the wonderful world of pharmacy: a lady asked me today if I was responsible for making up preparations for Hormone Replacement Therapy.

I politely explained that all HRT medicines are prescribed by the doctor, and we dispense them already made up, usually in pill or patch form.

Yes, she asked, but where do you make them?

Again I told her we don't. We buy them ready made.

Well, she said, I want you to prepare my own recipe for HRT here in your pharmacy!

I should really know better by now, but being a Leo, curiosity always gets the better of me.

So I asked her what exactly went into her recipe..... Apparently it's a secret (which would have made the manufacturing process quite tricky), but the main ingredients is........chicken giblets!

Well of course. Why didn't I realise that?
