And The Band Played On

Back-blip 3 of 4.....

Today was the big day and the main reason for me and Andy to be in Cornwall, Helston's Flora Day, an annual celebration including dancing around the streets led by the town band and much more besides. The pubs open at 06:30 and the first of four dances starts at 07:00, with the final dance finishing around 18:30. I should say too that I'm very privileged to be invited back each year to play in the children's and midday dances.

We had a brilliant day despite several showers, none of which dampened the spirits of a very sizeable crowd.

Incidentally, Danielle and Mrs K also had a great day at their baton twirling competition in Weston-Super-Mare where she was 1st in the duet section and three team events, woohoo.
